Liverpool Seek Replacement For Luis Diaz As Player Wants Out

 

Liverpool are understood to be seeking to replace Luis Diaz as his link to Bayern Munich is set to lead to an imminent transfer. 

Bayern have already made an official bid for the Colombian forward, but the Reds have rejected the £53 million offered for the player. Meanwhile, Diaz has already made his intentions to leave known to the club. Initially, Barcelona were also linked to the player, and later changed to Manchester United's forward, Marcus Rashford, with whom they have completed a season-long loan transfer. 

There are speculations that Real Madrid forward Rodrigo is the sought-after replacement should Diaz leave Anfield. However, talks between Bayern and Liverpool might soon reach an advanced stage as the Germans are expected to increase the offer to £55 million. At the price, a deal might be reached between the clubs, paving the way to his transfer.

Besides Liverpool, Rodrygo is also reportedly linked to other top European clubs like Bayern, Paris St-Germain, and Arsenal. His contract with Real runs until 2028, yet it is understood that Real will be willing to let him leave to bidders, whose offer meets their demand. 

By the way, instead of keeping Diaz, Liverpool are keen on completing the transfer for their Eintracht Frankfurt target, Hugo Ekitike, and a £79 million deal has been agreed to between the clubs. The player is expected to make up for the exit of Darwin Nunez, who is working towards leaving Anfield in this transfer window.
