MArcus Rashford Nears Finalising Barcelona Loan Move
Marcus Rashford is inches close to finalising his loan transfer to Barcelona and has been spotted in a training session with the team as a deal for him is imminent.
United has already agreed to a loan move for the player, who was loaned to Aston Villa, which includes taking a pay cut, reducing his annual salary to £8.6 million. Rashford's relevance in the Red Devils' squad began to dwindle upon the appointment of Ruben Amorim and was later loaned to the London-based club. However, United did not improve; they narrowly escaped the relegation zone.
However, the season-long loan deal comes with a surprise package, an option to sign the striker permanently. United had just completed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. Both signings might have given United's attacking forward a new outlook.
Rashford's move to the Catalan side will put him on the opposite side to his countryman, Jude Bellingham, at Real Madrid. His fate of seeing the contract through to securing a permanent deal might stand some test from the likes of Pedri and Raphinha, who play from his favourite wing at United.
