Atalanta Seek Ademola Lookman's Replacement As Transfer To Inter Milan Is Imminent

 

Ademola Lookman's link to Inter Milan hangs in the balance as Atalanta seek his replacement, Federico Chiesa from Liverpool, amid the club's asking price for the forward. 

Atalanta are demanding an offer of €50 million, while Inter are offering €40 million for Lookman. Atalanta are not willing to double down on the fee and would not accept their counterpart's initial offer. Meanwhile, they are on the lookout for Chiesa, who might be available to leave Anfield after he was left out of the team's friend match tour. 

Liverpool are making changes to its squad, with players like Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz hoping to leave the club in this transfer window. Leaving Chiesa out of the team for their friendly tour indicated his potential availability for a transfer, and Atalanta are on the lookout.

As for the player, he wants out of Atalanta, but the club wants to ensure his replacement, potentially with Chiesa, before facilitating his transfer. However, Inter might have to revise their offer, and there are speculations that Atalanta are willing to reduce the asking price as well. 

Lookman is an important player to his club, which he helped to win the UEFA Europa Cup against Leverkusen by scoring a hat-trick. He was later voted the AFCON Player of the Year after his contributions to Nigeria Super Eagles to reaching the final of the  2023 AFCON Cup in Ivory Coast.
