Neymar Jr. Is Sued For Workload
Neymar Jr. is being sued, not for football-related issues or anything related to his notoriety. It is far from those. It has to do with his kitchen for the workload required to meet the task.
The footballer's former chef alleged she was overworked during her time working for the former Barcelona striker. Besides cooking for Neymar, she alleged she had to feed his guests, whose attendance could be 150 people in a single day.
On many occasions, the chef, whose name was not revealed, alleged she often worked longer than the stipulated working hours in her contract. Despite that, her monthly income was R$7,500 (£1,066).
In her lawsuit, as revealed by a Brazilian outlet, Metropoles, she suffered injuries to her back and hips and had to undergo medical examinations of her hip inflammation. These ailments, she alleged, were caused by the pressure of working as a chef in Neymar's mansion.
Metropoles revealed that she is demanding compensation worth R$262,000 (£37,256.40) be paid to her by Neymar and the recruiting firm that hired her for the job.
Neymar was one of the highest-paid footballers in the world during his spell at Paris Saint-Germain, where he was signed for £200 million from Barcelona in 2017. The fee is still the current transfer record for a transfer in European football.
