Alejandro Garnacho To Leave Old Trafford As Chelsea Agree Deal With Manchester United
Alejandro Garnacho has secured his exit from Manchester United after a deal was agreed to with Chelsea, as both clubs are working together on the player's transfer.
United have been keen on signing RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko instead. However, the move for Sesko was not intended as the replacement for Garnacho. In the latter part of last season, he spent time in the dugout as Ruben Amorim prepared him as a substitute, while Mason Mount made the starting lineups.
Garnacho wants out of United, and on top of his choice list is Chelsea. United are reportedly demanding £50 million from Chelsea, according to talkSport, and he is understood to have agreed on personal terms with the Blues, with the hope that a deal will be completed for him soon.
United have already completed three key signings to strengthen the team. With Sesko's signing, the frontline would be further strengthened as the centre forward topped Leipzig's scoring stats in all competitions last season.

The Argentine started his senior professional career at United, and had enjoyed regular starting lineup with the club until Amorim's appointment. He won the FA Cup and the EFL Cup with United in 2023/24 and 2022/23, respectively.
