Barcelona Agree In Principle With Manchester United On Marcus Rashford's Move

Marcus Rashford is close to a loan move to Barcelona, and the Spanish side has agreed in principle on a deal for the striker with Manchester United.

Barcelona are still in discussions with United to finalize the deal. The deal, however, is speculated to include an option to sign the striker to a permanent contract after the loan spell. Also, it is rumored that Barcelona will cover the cost during the loan spell.

Rashford joined Aston Villa on loan, which ended with the conclusion of last season. The player struggled to find his place in the team upon the appointment of Ruben Amorim. United have just signed Wolverhampton Wanderers' striker, Matheus Cunha, and are working towards signing another forward player, Bryan Mbeumo, from Brentford.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old has been open about his preference to join Barcelona even though he has two years left in his contract with United. Initially, Barcelona were linked to Liverpool's forward, Luis Diaz, but as talks broke down between the clubs, the Catalan side moved on to secure an agreement with United for Rashford.
