What Hope Lies There For Erik ten Hag At Manchester United As Club Searches For His Successor?

 

Manchester United have reportedly started scouting for a new manager to replace Erik ten Hag, amidst growing concerns over the team's performance. The Dutchman's tenure has been marred by inconsistent results, sparking speculation about his future at Old Trafford.

Manchester United have already approached two high-profile managers to take over the reins. However, Tomas Tuchel and Gareth Southgate both have reportedly declined the offer. The latter his clear on his stance to not take the job but the former Chelsea boss, Tuchel, is neither in and out of the race.

Ahead of making a decision for what seemed to be impending regarding Erik's future, the club's management are understood to be considering former Borussia Dortmund manager, Edin Terzic who led the team to win the final of the Champions League last season. As the Mirror reported it, they are also considering Inter Milan manager, Simone Inzaghi for the job. 

Erik ten Hag's position remains precarious, with Manchester United's board expecting significant improvement in the team's performance. The Dutchman has been under pressure since the start to the season, with fans calling for his dismissal. 

Even as make the situation dire for the Dutch manager, United drew against Aston Villa ahead of the club's management meeting. However, following the club's owners meeting on the Erik's future, it was understood the club wants to maintain status quo on their decision and he remains the club manager, nonetheless. 

Manchester United has declined to comment on the speculation surrounding Erik ten Hag's future for now. As the search for Ten Hag's replacement continues, Manchester United's season hangs in the balance. Will the Red Devils find the right manager to steer them back to success?
