Juventus Confirm Replacing Massimiliano Allegri With New Manager

Juventus has appointed Thiago Motta as the club new manager to replace Allegri Massimiliano for the period of three-season that runs out on 30 June, 2027.

Allegri was sacked by the club in May despite winning the Coppa Italian for the club, in a decision which was blamed on his behaviors that the club condemned as not "compatible" with its values. By the way, the former manager was on his second spell at the club and it was unlike his initial.

Motta, who just had a spectacular season at Bologna, led the side to fifth last season for a Champions League slot and that was their best performance in the Serie A since 1981. He promised, in his statement, to keep the club "flying high" during his reign.

"I am really happy to begin a new chapter at the helm of a great club like Juventus," said Motta via the club official website. "I thank the owners and the management, who can be sure of my ambition to keep the Juventus flag flying high and to please the fans."

Juventus finished third last season and have not won the Serie A for the fourth season in a row. Meanwhile, under Allegri in his first spell, he led the side to win the Serie A for five consecutive seasons before stepping down as the manager.
