Mikel Arteta Signs New Contract With Arsenal

Arsenal has confirmed that Mikel Arteta is committed to staying at Emirates Stadium for more years after signing a new contract, which will last until 2030.

Last season, the Spaniard manager had an incredible spell at the club, leading the team to win its first Premier League title in 22 years. They also defeated Manchester City to win the Community Shield for the third time under Arteta.

"It's a privilege to commit my future to the club and to continue to work with exceptional people who want the best for Arsenal," said Arteta, speaking of his new contract.

"This club is unique, its character and the way it makes you feel, and I have a great sense of privilege that our journey together will continue. We have already built a special bond and created memories that will last a lifetime."

Arteta is speculated to earn £25 million annually from the four-year contract. He joined Arsenal in 2019, replacing Unai. Emery.  For the first time in 20 years, he led the club to the UEFA Champions League final. Arsenal's first UEFA Champions League final appearance was in 2006 under Arsène Wenger, which they lost to Barcelona.
