Chelsea Beat 10-Manchester United At Stamford Bridge
Chelsea claimed an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, in a thrilling second-half with Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer scoring.
Manchester have remained winless in nine previous matches across all competitions. They have lost every away Premier League game since the 2026/27 season began. Likewise, Chelsea have been winless in their previous games.
Chelsea did not take the lead until the second half. In the first period, Estavao Willian and Matheus Cunha's goals were ruled out, ending the first half in stalemate. After the halftime break, Manchester United became fatigue and physical, leading to Martinez's dismissal.
Morgan Rogers put the Blue in front with an individual effort. The striker received a pass from Romeo Lavia in the centre field, and dribbled his way through to the penalty, lobbing the ball over Lammens. Midway through the half, Cole Palmer doubled the lead, converting a penalty after Martinez fouled Lavia inside the box.
Chelsea regained their winning form after two consecutive losses. They were knocked out of the EFL (Carabao) Cup by Liverpool, and they lost their previous home Premier League game to Tottenham. Rogers' goal was his fifth in the Premier League this season.
Overview

Meanwhile, Manchester United had a fantastic first half. They missed being awarded a penalty for Chalobah's slight tackle on Amad Diallo in a one-on-one challenge with the goalkeeper, Penders. The first half was splendid, with both side having their goals ruled out for offside.
Chances and Assists
Chelsea had a lot. United's defense was loose and Willian's gave a handful of assists that were narrowly missed. One of the instances was when Valentin Barcos struck a chance wide inside the box. He had plenty of space to finish off, but struck in one touch.
Manchester United's best moment of the second half was Patrick Mbeumo's 20-yard clipped the crossbar and bounced off to safety. Besides that moment, they barely had a shot on target after Martinez was sent off for a second yellow-card offense. However, they had a great first time, with Amad and Bruno Fernandes missing scoring chances.
