Kimi Antonelli Outpaces Rivals, Leads Spanish Grand Prix FP3

Kimi Antonelli dominated the Madrid Grand Prix FP3 over his Ferrai rival, Charles Leclerc, who trailed him in the previous sessions of the weekend races at Madring Sur. 

Mercedes had an impressive race on the newly-revamped grid with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli leading FP1 and FP2, respectively. Ferrari did well to edge their rivals in FP3 with Leclerc initially setting the fastest time before reclaimed the position. 

Lewis Hamilton missed out on contending for the front row, damaging his car in a crash. In the earlier stages, he had shown resilience, setting the quickest time as the front row inter changing between him and Leclerc. The Brit ultimately lost out when he crashed into the wall on the final lap.

In previous races, Hamilton had struggled with the Turns at Madring Sur, bumping into the wall at Turn 17. In FP3, the former F1 champion (seven times) damaged his front wheel and puncture a tyre. 

The session witnessed a couple of interruptions due to incidences. Alex Albon bumped into the wall, and home-favourite, skidded off track, running into the wall. He avoided damaging his front wheel. Oliver Bearman crashed into the wall on the final lap and a safety car was deployed
