Brentford Win Big Against Chelsea

 

Brentford stunned their London-based rivals, Chelsea, with a 3-0 victory, as the Blues continue in a winless spiral. 

Chelsea's winless run drags into its third Premier League game, slowly taking its toll on the team's title race. Brentford left it into the second half before delivering a stunning victory, taking advantage of the set piece. 

Jaidon Anthony set the visitors ahead, nodding home Schuster's corner inside an hour of play. Chelsea's search for the equaliser opened up the midfield to Brentford for a counter, as Kevin Schade broke through and his rebound effort set up Thiago for a tap-in.

Brentford were locked in on their defence as Chelsea repeatedly pounced on their box. Schade again broke into the box from the left, crossing the ball into the six-yard box for Fabio Carvalho to tap in. 

Brentford have remained unbeaten across all competitions since the start of the season. They have only won two of their previous five Premier League games. Meanwhile, Chelsea have lost three consecutive away Premier League matches. 

Overview 

Schade contributed immensely to Brentford's victory against Chelsea. The Blues played it loose, and Brentford seized the opportunities. Chelsea were unlucky to score, despite having a handful of opportunities. Perhaps Joao Pedro's absence impacted the Blues' attacking prowess in today's game. 

Chances and Assists. 

Scahde was directly involved in two of Brentford's goals. His influence on the left wing was standout. Danny Welbeck had Chelsea's best chance in the first half but forced a save instead.
