Mohamed Salah Closes In On Trabzonspor Transfer
Imminently, Mohamed Salah will join Trabzonspor for a mouth-watering contract after leaving Liverpool as a free agent this summer.
Salah spent nine seasons at Liverpool, where he had an incredible spell, leading the goalscoring multiple times and leading the team to win the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League titles. His departure has led the Reds to link to Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as his replacement.
Initially, he was closely linked to a Turkish Super Lig club, Besiktas. However, his decision took a new turn when Trabzonspor waded in with a more convincing offer. Salah could not help but take the offer.
Earlier on Wednesday, the player broke the silence on his transfer when the Turkish club shared online pictures of him wearing a Trabzonspor jersey No. 61. The club also captioned the update, expressing its delight in the player.
"In his navy-bluekit, facing the cameras for the first time. His first message to the Great Trabzonspor Fans. @Everywhere," the caption reads. "Everywhere is Trabzon for Us."
Salah is reportedly expected to arrive at Istanbul Airport at 12:00 noon as negotiations are ongoing. The club is understood to be considering a two-year deal with net annual earnings of €17 million. Following a statement released by the club on social media, "negotiations have begun" between the club and his team.
