Lewis Hamilton Wins First Race For Ferrari In Barcelona

Lewis Hamilton won his first Grand Prix for Ferrari, and his first race victory since 2021, as Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc suffered mechanical faults and retired from the race.

The Briton had gradually built confidence over the past three Grand Prix, starting the races in P2. Eventually, he broke the drought in an eventful race for his teammate, Leclerc retired due to power loss, and Hamilton led on in first after a virtual safety car was deployed for Fernando Alonso's incident. He finished quickest in 1:32:28.105 seconds.

Meanwhile, Antonelli was showing strong hands in the race, battling his teammate, Russell, to claim P2 before losing power on Lap 62 and was retired. Just about the same moment, Leclerc retired from the race at Turn 2.

McLaren's Lando Norris reclaimed podium position in third ahead of his teammate, Oscar Piastri, who finished behind Red Bull's Max Verstappen. Winning the race was Hamilton's 106th race victory and his seventh victory in Barcelona-Catalunya as an F1 driver.
