Charles Leclerc Agrees New Multi-year Contract With Ferrari
Charles Leclerc has extended his contract with Ferrari following his agreement to a new long term contract, which was announced on Wednesday.
Ferrari's relationship with the Monagasque started from his academy years. He was promoted to F1 after his stellar performance in the FIA F2 series, coupled with winning the Championship trophy In 2017.
"Being a Ferrai driver is a dream, but it's also a responsibility I never take for granted," said Leclerc. "I'll continue to give absolutely everything I have to being this team back to where it belong, at the very top."
Since joining the team to replace retired driver Sebastian Vettel in 2019 , his performance in the F1 series has been in 2022, when he finished the F1 season in second behind Red Bull's Max Verstappen.
Currently, in the 2026 series, he has made two podium appearances, and trailing the Mercedes duo, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli in the F1 driver's standings in third with 75 points. In Canadan, his teammate, Lewis Hamilton delivered his performance of this series, making the podium in P2 while he finished P4.
