Cristiano Ronaldo Leads Al Nassr To Win First League Title In Seven Years

Cristiano Ronaldo stood out as Al-Nassr won its first Saudi Pro League title since 2019, defeating Damac 4-1 in the season-ending game at Alawwal Park on Thursday.

The Portuguese international scored a brace as the team clinched the maximum points needed to top the table. With 91 points, they led the table with three points ahead of the nearest team, Al-Hilal. They had been unbeaten in their previous four home games, including their last league clash with Al-Hilal.

Al-Nassr set the tune of the game when Sadio Mane put the side ahead with the opening goal. He headed home a Joao Felix's cross from the six-yard box, giving the side the lead. The goal tally doubled shortly after halftime, when Kingsley Coman seized a set piece and curled a left-footed shot into the top corner.

Damac narrowed the lead when Morlaye Sylla converted a penalty drawn from a handball. Ronaldo restored the two-goal lead, scoring the third from a free-kick and cushioning it with the fourth, blasting home a shot from inside the box.

Ronaldo led the team as the captain to win their first title since he joined the club in 2022. He finished the season as the club's top scorer with 28 goals in all competitions, followed by Felix with 20.
