Manchester City Overtake Arsenal To Top Premier League

 

Manchester City edged closer to Premier League glory with a 1-0 victory over Burnley at Etihad Stadium, and they are top over Arsenal. 

The Premier League title race was thrown open between Manchester and Arsenal after the latter lost in a clash at Etihad Stadium over the weekend. They overtook the Gunners on goal difference. 

Manchester City took the lead and eventually the victory when Erling Haaland broke past Burnley's defense, following Jeremy Doku's through pass. The Norwegian striker darted into the box and poked the ball into the left corner. 

With this victory, Manchester City edged closer to reclaiming the Premier League title they last won in the 2023/24. Manchester City defeated Arsenal to claim the EFL Carabao Cup and have also reached the FA Cup semi-final. 

Overview 

Manchester City took charge of the game from the get-go. Their aggressive approach paid off quite early in the game. Burnley were not lucky to find an equalizer, despite having a couple of chances. Compared to City, the hosts were not as sharp on the offensive as they should. Zian Flemming had the closest chance to set them off, but made too many touches, allowing City to fence him off.
