PSG Stun Chelsea With UEFA Champions League Knockout

Paris Saint-Germain dismantled Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, qualifying for the UEFA Champions League quarter-final after leading the two-legged round on an aggregate score of 8-2.

Chelsea faced a huge task of undoing the deficit from their previous tie; losing at Stamford Bridge would eliminate them from the competition. The Ligue 1 side quickly seized the first period of the game to guarantee their victory before Senny Mayulu's goal put the match to bed.

Within the first 15 minutes, PSG had established control over the game through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola. Mayulu's goal was a perfect example of PSG's clinical finishing. Receiving the ball on the edge of the box, he took a touch and unleashed a powerful left-foot shot that beat Robert Sánchez.

Besides their eviction from the UEFA Champions League, Chelsea had been unable to find their winning form for the past three games in all competitions. However, they have the FA Cup as their only hope of silverware this season after advancing to the next round, defeating Wrexham.
