Manchester City Eliminate Newcastle In FA Cup Fifth Round

Manchester City made an incredible comeback to neatly oust Newcastle United in a 3-1 victory in the FA Cup fifth round match at St. James' Park

Newcastle's early dominance gradually slipped through their hands as Manchester City piled pressure on the Magpies. Eventually, the visitors regained winning ways after they drew 2-2 against Nottingham Forest

Harvey Barnes struck in the opener for Newcastle before Manchester City leveled. Jeremy Doku danced his ways through the left, crossing the ball into Savio's path for the Brazilian to tap in.

The lead doubled from Marmoush's individual before the striker sealed it with the winner midway through the second half. Earlier, Reijners missed a couple of efforts that could have put the game to bed.

Savio's goal was his first in the FA Cup for Manchester City. Pep Guardiola later reinforced the frontline with Phil Foden and Antoine Semenyo to keep the side ahead of their opponents, Newcastle.
