Andre's Injury Time Goal Leads Wolves To Beat Liverpool

Wolverhampton Wanderers snatched a hard-fought 2-1 victory from Liverpool at Molineux Stadium, sealing the match win with an injury-time goal from Andre.

Despite their precarious position at the bottom of the Premier League table, Wolves continued to spring surprises. Last week, they dealt Aston Villa a shocking defeat at Molineux Stadium. In earlier games, they held Arsenal to a 2-2 draw, setting the Gunners back in the Premier League title race. Liverpool turned out not to be an exception

Wolves took the lead, capitalising on Virgil van Dijk's defensive error, and Rodrigo Gomez finished off the ball. Virgil van Dijk lost an aerial ball contest to Tolu Arokodare, who released a pass to Gomez. The Portuguese darted into the box and poked the ball into the bottom left post.

Liverpool regained level terms as Mohamed Salah seized a defensive flop to rifle home an equalizer. Unfortunately for the Reds in the injury time, Wolves retook the lead as Andre's shot from 20 yards was deflected into the net.

The Reds' winning run through four games in all competitions was interrupted. They lost the chance to level on points with Aston Villa, who are fourth on the table. Meanwhile, Wolves have now won two Premier League games at home back-to-back.
