UEFA Champions League, Europa League Draws Released As Bodo/Glimt Makes Historic Appearance

 

As the UEFA Champions League released the draws for the Round of 16, Bodo/Glimt are set to make their first appearance in the competition's knockout stages, following their impressive run through the two-legged playoff against Inter Milan. 

Also making an appearance in the UEFA Champions League knockout rounds is the Premier League side Newcastle United. The Magpies will be making their first appearance in the competition since they made their debut in the 1997-98 season. They will join their peers, such as Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool, in the UEFA Champions League knockout. 

To the compliment of Newcastle, Anthony Gordon is the second top scorer in the competition with 10 goals, trailing Real Madrid striker, Kylian Mbappe, who leads with 13 goals. Gordon participated in every Newcastle match in the league phase, making 10 appearances for the side.   

Nottingham Forest are the only Premier League club remaining in the UEFA Europa League. They eliminated Fenerbahçe on aggregate scores in the second-leg playoff.
