Juventus Are Out, As Victor Osimhen Sends Galatasaray To UEFA Champions League Round of 16

Victor Osimhen camento the rescue of  Galatasaray, after delivering a delightful strike that set the side on course to hold off Juventus' comeback and led them to qualify for the UEFA Champions League knockout stages.

Juventus won the second-leg playoff by 3-2, but the Turkiye side secured the ticket to the round of 16 on aggregate scores of 7-5. They had won the first-leg leg at home by 5-2, and in the second-leg  playoff, they seized an extra-time comeback to score two goals to emerge as the winners.

The Italians had led the match from the first half, with Manuel Locatelli scoring the opener. They extended the lead in the second half with Federico Gatti and Weston McKennie scoring the second and third goal, respectively. Meanwhile, they had a setback in the second half when Kelly was Red carded for a second yellow card offense.

As the game progressed into the extra time, Osimhen began to gain prominence. Eventually, he received a pass from an Asper Yimaz, and guided a shot into the net through the legs of the goalkeeper,  Mattia Perin. The Nigerian striker almost scored a brace, reacting to Wilfried Singo's through pass, but Yilmaz got to the ball first and finished off the chance to seal the victory.

Osimhen extended his goal tally in the UEFA Champions League to 13, making him the African player with most goals for Galatasaray's history in a European competition. Currently, he is the highest goalscorer with seven goals in the ongoing UEFA Champions League season,
