Manchester United Claim Thrilling Victory Against Arsenal

 

Manchester United defied the Premier League leader Arsenal in the latest clash at Emirates Stadium, winning 3-2 and throwing open the Premier League title race. 

Arsenal's winless streak in two consecutive Premier League games has proven costly. They are only four points ahead of the closest team, Manchester City. In their previous match, Arsenal forfeited the opportunity to go nine points clear in a goalless draw against 

Shortly after Bukayo Saka facilitated the effort leading to Lisandro Martinez's own goal, Bryan Mbeumo capitalised on Martin Zubimendi's back pass to score the equaliser. 

United took the lead from Patrick Dorgu's effort after halftime. The winger dazzled past Zubimendi, who was calling for a foul, and let him loose to strike the ball into the top right corner. Arsenal leveled up from Mikel Merino's tap-in, following Saka's corner. 

Late into the match, Matheus Cunha received a pass from Mainoo and curled a 25-yard shot into the top left corner. His goal sealed the victory for Manchester United as Arsenal remained winless in two consecutive Premier League games. 

Carrick was victorious over Arsenal as a caretaker charge back in 2021 and desperately repeated the act with a 2-3 goals victory at Emirates after United had failed to win their last three away matches before his appointment.
