Fulham Come From Behind To Beat Chelsea In London Derby

Fulham produced a stunning comeback to beat Chelsea 2-1 in a London derby, with Harry Wilson scoring the winning goal in the 81st minute.

Chelsea had been winless in their previous four encounters, which eroded the points they needed to be in the top four. Fulham proved to be the stronger side, reclaiming winning form by beating Chelsea in a second-half thriller.

Chelsea had the first real opportunity of the game, with Andrey Santos hitting the bar in the 19th minute. Fulham's Harry Wilson was causing the Blues' defense all sorts of problems, and he had a glorious chance to open the scoring in the 15th minute, but Robert Sánchez made a stunning save.

The second half was a different story, with Fulham taking control and Raúl Jiménez scoring the game's opening goal in the 55th minute. Chelsea equalized through Liam Delap's header in the 72nd minute, but Fulham's comeback was far from over. Wilson's stunning strike in the 81st minute proved to be the winner, and the Cottagers held on for a famous victory.

Chelsea, on the other hand, will be disappointed to have thrown away a lead. They created chances and had periods of control, but ultimately paid the price for their mistakes. They maintain their position in sixth on equal points with Manchester United

Overview

Fulham's best moment of the first half was ruled offside. Chelsea, for a moment, flopped while having Fulham charging in front of the box. The centre back was too open for penetration, allowing a through pass to meet Wilson in the six-yard box. Luckily, he was offside. However, his goal was classic.

Fulham got the Blues exhausted. They were pacy and relentless. Chelsea's defense eventually paid for it. Five defenders against three opponents in the box, still Raul Jimenez found a space to strike the ball through.
