Bournemouth Claim Delightful Comeback Victory Against Liverpool
Liverpool had a tough day on their trip to Bournemouth, where they lost 3-2 at Vitality Stadium, following an injury-time goal from Amine Adli.
The Reds had been winless in their previous four Premier League games, which had cost the side the needed points to keep up with their counterparts in the top four. Bournemouth, who are mid-table, have lost two of their previous five games in the league.
Evanilson opened the scoresheet, darting past the space, and he finished off Alex Scott's cut back. The second goal followed a similar situation in the 32nd minute. Alex Jomenez latched onto James Hill's through pass and smacked the ball down the left post.
Virgil van Dijk pulled one goal back for Liverpool, heading home Dominik Szoboszlai's cross on the brink of halftime. After the break, Szoboszlai equalised the lead, scoring from a free-kick. While Liverpool was hoping to hold down to a draw, Adli tapped home a loose ball inside the six-yard box, following a throw-in.
Having to lose set Liverpool back with three points, closing the gap between them and trailing teams like Manchester United and Chelsea.
