Barcelona Recover Deficit To Thrash Copenhagen

Barcelona came from behind to defeat Copenhagen in a 4-1 victory in their clash at Nou Camp, following a setback from Viktor Daoason's early opening goal.

Copenhagen enjoyed a first-half frenzy before the Spaniards retaliated, with Lamine Yamal causing huge trouble for the Greeks. The pressure paid off in the second half, before a penalty handed the hosts a comfortable lead.

The Danish side caught Barcelona's defense wanting in the fourth minute as Elyounoussi's through pass set Viktor off for a break into the box and finished the ball off down the centre of the post. Barcelona recovered the deficit when Yamal dashed down the right and released the ball to onrushing Roberto Lewandowski for a tap-in.

Yamal doubled the lead, curling a left-footed shot that ricocheted off a defender and landed in the top right corner of the net. The situation became tense for the Danes when Raphinhal scored from a penalty. Marcus Rashford, who came as a substitute for Dani Olmo, sealed the victory with the fourth goal.

The maximum points earned from the win lifted Barcelona to the top five of the league phase with 16 points. Meanwhile, Copenhagen continue to trail in the elimination zone with eight points

Overview

Copenhagen could not have done it better. Viktor rightly read the situation and darted for the through ball that set Barcelona back in the first half. It was Copenhagen's only shot on target, and Joan Garcia was helplessly beaten.

Barcelona did not give the Danish side space and leveled the scoreline. Gabriel Pereira marginally kept Yamal and Lewandowski onside. Otherwise, the fast break could have been ruled offside. Yamal read the situation rightly before playing Lewandowski into space toscore. Holding on to a lead against a side like Barcelona was a huge task for Copenhagen. The Spaniards opened up the defense on both sides, allowing Yamal to do his tricks.
