Cole Palmer Leads As Chelsea Outclass Everton

Chelsea claimed a comfortable 2-0 victory over Everton at Stamford Bridge, with Cole Palmer leading the Blues to seal the victory before halftime.

Chelsea regained winning form after a four-game winless run in all competitions. David Moyes' men had a few chances to pull a shot, but narrowly missed. Palmer was sensational and a good combination, working with Gusto at the front.

Palmer led the scoresheet with an opening goal from Malo Gusto. He darted past two defenders for Gusto's pass before blasting the ball into the back of the net. Gusto added his goal on the brink of halftime, giving Chelsea a two-goal lead.

The Blues regained winning ways after losing their previous three away games in all competitions. They lost their previous game against Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League after a goalless draw against Bournemouth

Overview

Everton maintained a strong approach until the defense line was caught off guard, allowing Palmer to find space. Gusto read the situation rightly as Palmer stood between Gueye and Mykolenko. It was a masterclass finish from the striker. It was an impressive first half for Chelsea. Before Gusto's goal, he had a goal attempt from Palmer's assist, saved by Pickford

Enzo Maresca deployed a defensive outlook in the second half, replacing Plamer and Garnacho. They only needed to keep the margin. However, he kept Joao Pedro, keeping the offense intact. Jack Grealish had a couple of near misses, and that was the closest the winger got for Everton.
