Busta Rhymes Lights Up Year-End Concert , Says "I'm Home"

It is nothing short of excellence as Busta Rhymes headlined this year's Detty December at Ilubirin, Lagos, Nigeria. He had teased about the concert weeks ahead. Getting on the stage, he got the fans hooked throughout. 

Detty December is an annual year-end funfair in Lagos. This year's celebration took a different turn with the rapper becoming the first American hip hop artist to headline a Detty December outdoor concert. He was joined by artists like Tiwa Savage, Uzikwendu, and MI Abaga. 

Busta paused his performance midway to reflect on his experience. Speaking on stage, he expressed how much he missed coming to the continent after his first visit over a decade. 

"This is the motherland. Thank you for having me this year at Detty December 2025," said Busta Rhymes midway through his performance, reflecting on his first visit to the city in 15 years. 

He was introduced onto the stage by Sliff Star, who rhymed alongside the rapper. The rapper 3njoyed the show as the crowd was continuously engaged in his music. He performed hits like 'Don't Cha', 'Touch it ', and 'Uh Ooh.'
