Anthony Joshua Rocks American Boxer, Throws Shades At Tyson Fury
Anthony threw shades at his companion and rival, Tyson Fury, challenging the former WBC heavyweight champion to a fight next year.
American fighter, Jake Paul was humiliated in a professional challenge against Anthony Joshua, losing out in six-round at the Kayesa Centre, Miami, Florida on Saturday.
It was a messy fight for YouTuber-turned-boxer. Joshua spared none of his arsenals and defeated him when rightly landing a right hook, as the American was leaning on a corner of the rings. Paul was floored and the fight was called off as a knockout.
However, Paul enjoyed a harmless first round. He dodged many of Joshua jabs. He was entertaining. The former three-time heavyweight champion launched his devastating hooks in the fifth round, rendering Jakes weak and harmless before hitting his canvass in the sixth round.
"He came up against a real fighter tonight," said AJ on his fight with Jakes in a postmatch interview. "If Tyson Fury is serious as he thinks he is and he wants to put down his fingers, and put on gloves, and come and fight one of the realist fighters out there that takes up any challenge, step in the ring on me next. If you're a real bad boy."
For many years, there have been calls for AJ and Fury to fight. That anticipation has never materialised. Both fighters are now without any heavyweight title, as they both lost their belts to Ukrainian heavyweight boxer, Oleksander Usyk in separate fights.
Meanwhile, Paul had his first taste of victory over a former heavyweight champion, fighting former WBC champion, Mike Tyson in November, 2024. He won on a unanimous vote of 80-72, 79-73, 79-73.
