Christian Pulisic's Double Leads AC Milan To Beat Torino

 

AC Milan came from behind to claim a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Torino, with Christian Pulisic leading the scoresheet with two goals, despite being a substitute. 

Torino had been winless in their previous five Serie A games, and losing to Milan further compounded their winless run. Though the visitors were not spectacular from the start, they gradually established dominance. 

 Nikola Vladic opened the scoresheet from a penalty drawn from Fikayo Tomori's handball. Duvan Zapata doubled the lead in the 17th minute, blasting home Vladic's through pass from inside the box. 

After the interval, Milan responded to Torino with Adrien Rabiot's individual effort. Rabiot pulled one back for Milan,  striking a 30-yard shot into the top corner. Pulisic restored level terms, rifling home Saelemaekers' cross and sealed the victory 10 minutes later, finishing off Ricci's cross. 

Pulisic replaced a defender, Davide Bartesaghi, to boost Milan's attacking frontline. in the 66th minute, He scored both goals within 10 minutes, leading the side to victory. Milan overtook Napoli to lead the Serie A table, with both sides on 44 points apiece. 

Overview

Interesting comeback for Milan. Though the opening goal was avoidable, they yet restored normalcy, led by Modric. The Uruguayan and Pulisic played significant roles in the victory. Torino were punished for the defensive meltdown that allowed Pulisic the equalizer. Pulisic had only come in as a substitute and quickly found a scoring chance since he was unmarked. However, Vladic impacted the game for Torino, having near misses.
