Lando Norris claimed pole position for the Brazilian Grand Prix after winning the Sprint race, which Oscar Piastri crashed out of in an earlier session.

McLaren has been dominant at Interlagos from the practice session, and the duo has faced contention with Kimi Antonelli. The Mercedes driver narrowly missed edging out Norri to claim the pole in Q3. However, he finished in P2 ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who was third.

As for Puastri, it was not a pleasant weekend for the McLaren. He was in provisional pole on his first run, but he was unable to improve on his second run and dropped to P4. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen had a disappointing session, dropping out in Q1. It was Red Bull's first time to be eliminated in Q1 on pace. He finished in P16.

It was not better for Lewis Hamilton either as the Ferrari was eliminated in Q2. In the earlier session, he failed to make it to the top 10 for the Sprint race. He finished the qualifying session in P13. In addition, Fernando Alonso was eliminated in Q2, and he will start in P11.
