Eberechi Eze Scores Hattick As Arsenal Beat Tottenham In London Derby

Arsenal dominated Tottenham Hotspur with a resounding 4-1 victory in a thrilling North London Derby at the Emirates Stadium, extending their lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points.

The Gunners had a setback in their Premier League leadership run, following a 2-2 draw against Sunderland. Luckily for the Gunners, their closest rivals, Manchester City, lost 2-1 to Newcastle on Saturday. Thereby, extending their lead by six points. 

The Gunners started like a team on a mission, with Leandro Trossard scoring the opener in the 36th minute. The Belgian international's strike was a testament to Arsenal's relentless pressure, as they continued to push for more goals.

The second half saw Eberechi Eze net a stunning trick, securing Arsenal's dominance in the match. Spurs did manage to pull one back through Richarlison's 56th-minute goal, but it was too little, too late for the visitors.

Eze's first goal was a well-composed finish after a delightful pass from Martinelli, which set the tone for the rest of the match. The Nigerian-born star continued to cause problems for Spurs, scoring his second goal in the 76th minute and sealing it with the winner in the 90+2 minute.

Overview 

Despite the Spurs replacing Sarr with Bentancur in midfield, they struggled with ball possession, and they were forced to play deep into their own half. Their best chance came through Richarlison's goal, but it was a consolation prize for a team that was outplayed for large chunks of the match.

Unlike their rivals, Arsenal's victory proved their plausible performance and cohesion as a team. The result left Tottenham in ninth place, with much work to be done to regain its form.
