Chelsea Retain Winning Way With Away Victory Against Burnley

Chelsea returned to the Premier League, claiming a neat 2-0 away victory against Burnely, in a match they rightly dominated.

Before the international break, Chelsea won their previous two Premier League games, and in all competitions, they had been unbeaten in previous four games. Initially, Burnley made a few impressive efforts inside the Blues' half before the tide turned, leading to Neto's opener.

Mario Cucurella received a delivery in Burnley's 18-yard box, rounded off a challenge, and let a pass to Jamie Gitten. The winger, in turns, connected a cross to Pedro Neto, whose glance header beat Dubravka

Enzo Fernandez doubled the lead in the closing minutes as the side pressured Burnley into their 18-yard box. Marc Guiu attempted a shot at the goal, but the ball was saved into Fernandez's reach for the rebound shot.

Earlier, Neto's goal, he had initiated an assist that set up Gitten for a scoring chance. Kyle Walker reacted quickly to block the singer's attempt. He scored the goal on the second attempt.

Burnley dropped two places to 19th position in the Premier  League, following the defeat. They have remained winless through three previous matches.

Overview

Chelsea had a better attacking frontline than their hosts. They exploited the edge they had through the wings and centre, leaving Burnley at their mercy. With Kyle Walker, Burnley's defense initially looked up to the task, but that was not for long when Chelsea broke the deadlock through Neto.

The Blues wasted multiple chances to double the lead after the interval. However, extending the lead was rewarding to their efforts, considering the dominance the had.
