Carlos Alcaraz Beats Felix Auger-Aliassime, Sets Up Final Against Jannik Sinner In Turin

Carlos Alcaraz is in his first final of the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, winning the semi-final match against Felix Auger-Aliassime by 6-2, 6-4, and set up a final showdown with Jannik Sinner.

Felix came under onslaught from Alcaraz in the third game when he claimed his first break to establish control and then another at 5-2 to win the set. The second set was challenging for Alcaraz, but he maintained his stronghold, claiming a match point on Felix's unforced error.

"I felt like I could do everything on court," said Alcaraz. "I think that confidence helped through the whole match, pushing him to the limit."

Alcatraz was presented with the Year-End World number trophy on Friday, after he won his match against Lorenzo Musetti. He followed in the stead of Rafael Nadal as the second Spaniard to reach the final of the Nitto ATP Finals since 2013.

"Being the No.1 of the world is something that I'm working really hard for with my team every day," said Alcaraz. "But I think it is a journey that you're not going through alone."

Having to face Jannik in the final rekindled the pair's rivalry that has spanned the season. Currently, Alcaraz holds a head-to-head lead of 4-1 against Jannik. They both last met in the US Open final, which the Spaniard won. Earlier this season, he defeated Jannik on his home soil at the Italian Open final.
