Atalanta Appoint New Manager
Atalanta have appointed a new manager in place of their ousted head coach, Ivan Juric, after losing three-nil to Sassuolo at home on Sunday.
The club confirmed Raffaele Palladino as the new head coach via its official website on Tuesday. The former Fiorentina manager, 41, will be joined at the club by a new coaching crew, amongst which is Stefano Citterio as an assistant coach, Federico Pelusi as the technical collaborator, and Andrea Ramponi as a match analyst.
"Atalanta BC is delighted to announce the appointment of Raffaele Palladino as the new Head Coach of the First Team," the statement reads. "The Petcassi and Pagliuca families, along with everyone at the club, extend a warm welcome to Raffaele Palladino and his staff as they join the Nerazzurri family."
Juric left the Nerazzurrians in 13th position in the Serie A, following a flop run to the new season. He led the side to four consecutive winless home runs - his last home victory was a 4-1 win against Leece.
Raffaele started his career as a manager at Monza and left there in the summer of 2024 to join Fiorentina, where he had a successful one-season spell, leading the side to the Champions League semi-finals last season. In the same season, he led Fiorentina to sixth in the Italian Serie A.
