Amad Diallo Rescues Draw For Man. United At Nott. Forest

Nottingham Forest shared the spoils with Manchester United  with a comeback 2-2 draw, in the search for a second Premier League win this season

Dyche-managed sides have failed to score in ten of their last 14 Premier League matches. Both of Sean Dyche’s first two games in charge of Nottingham Forest have ended with two goals, and they have lost their last three Saturday-held home games without scoring.

Casemiro put United in the lead, nodding home Bruno Fernandes's, and Forest responded to the lead within three minutes after the interval. Yates' was left unmarked on the edge of the box and lobbed over a cross into the six-yard box for Morgan Gibbs-White's header.

Two minutes later, Nicolao Savona seized a clumsy moment in the box to put Forest in the lead. Igor Jesus nodded into his path a cross from the right flank, and Savona tapped the loose ball into the net. With less than 10 minutes remaining,  Amad Diallo restored United to level terms, smashing a 20-yard left-footed shot into the top corner of the net.

United should have won, but VAR ruled out their would-be winning goal. Another goal-bound half volley from Amad was blocked on the touchline by Murillo. The draw extended United's unbeaten run to four after their previous three Premier League game victories.

Overview

They appeared to have a different attitude to the game, even as they could not hold on to their comeback lead in the second half. United found Forest a little difficult until Amad's stunning volley rescued the side from a would-be loss.

The boldness in Amorim’s methods paid off with share points afterward, despite eyeing back-to-back away league wins, with victory on their last trip against Liverpool ending an eight-match winless run in league road games prior.
