Team Brazil Wins Pole In Inaugural Lagos, Nigeria E1 Series

In an inaugural E1 series in Lagos, Nigeria, Team Brazil won the pole position and Team Rafa finished second in the qualifying trials on Saturday. 

It was E1's inaugural series in Africa as the sport bids for global recognition. With two more series left in the series, Team Rafa is the overall leader in the E1 Championship standings with 136 points, followed by Team Brady in second with 135 points. 

However, it was a slightly different contest for Westbrook Racing, which finished in third for its first front row finish in an E1 qualifying trial. Lucas Ordonez and Sara Price described the race as their best performance in the qualifying trial. Initially, they set the pace, with a lap time of 1:05.32 seconds. 

"That was tight. I was looking at the lap time, telling Sara to push," said Lucas. "It was tight in the end with Team Rafa. It was our first pole position for Westbrook Racing. We are really, really proud of Westbrook racing."
