New York Court Sentences Sean "Diddy" Combs To Prison

Sean "Diddy" Combs knew his fate after a New York court sentenced him for his conviction on charges of "prostitution" leveled against him.

The music mogul was sentenced to 50 months in prison, despite his plea for "mercy". The judge deemed it appropriate to give an adequate sentence after other grievous charges against him had been dropped. However, Judge Arun Subramanian stated that the rapper's "violent" conduct during his sentencing was a reason to waive his plea.

The prosecutors reportedly argued that the court give the mogul a stricter sentence of at least 11 years in prison. Meanwhile, the music producer's defending lawyer asked the court to be lenient on his client, whose life is in danger for being held in prison, arguing that his sentence should not be longer than 14 months.

Brian Steel argued that the rapper's life was saved by the guards during an attack on him at the Brooklyn prison. He cited an incident at Brooklyn prison when "the guards stopped a person who was armed with a shank who was on top of Sean," who attempted to cut him.

Diddy was convicted of "prostitution-related" charges following the US Homeland Security investigations into the items found in his mansions in Los Angeles and Miami, Florida. His homes were raided in March 2024, following a bombshell revelation of fallout between him and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie in a hotel. He has been incarcerated at the Brooklyn prison since September 2024, despite multiple bail applications.
