Oscar Piastri Dominates Chaotic Singapore Grand Prix Practice Two

As F1 drivers returned to the grid in the Singapore Grand Prix, McLaren's Oscar Piastri had an impressive start, dominating the practice session as Mercedes' George Russell ran into the barrier and retired from the race.

Piastri had a disappointing race in Azerbaijan, where he crashed out of the race, setting him back in the F1 Championship title race. Nevertheless, the Australian is still in the lead with 25 points ahead of the closest rival, Lando Norris

After Fernando Alonso dominated, setting the pace in the first practice session, Piastri surged by delivering the fastest pace in the second practice in 1:30.714s in a session that was smeared with crashes and red flags.

Isack Hadjar was another prominent driver in FP2, finishing second ahead of Red Bull's Max Verstappen in third and Fernando Alonso in fourth. Meanwhile, Norris had a collision with Charles Leclerc while both drivers were coming out of the pit. Both teams' garages are situated side by side in Marina Bay

The first red flag was deployed for Russell's crash at Turn 60. The Briton raced into the walls while exiting the corner. Russell lost his front wing in the collision. Another major incident that happened was Liam Lawson's. The Racing Bull's driver lost his front right wheel in the collision with the barrier at Turn 17.

Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton escaped a collision. The seven-time F1 champion brushed past the wall and avoided colliding with the barrier while exiting Turn 14. Norris also brushed the barrier while he was exiting Turn 17, and Gabriel Boteloto skidded off the track, running into the exit at Turn 7.
