Lando Norris Leads US Grand Prix Practice Session

As the F1 drivers returned to the circuit in Austin, Texas, for the US Grand Prix, Isack Hadjar will be making his debut on Sunday. Meanwhile, he had a bit of a struggle in the practice session, finishing ninth, while McLaren's Lando Norris topped the session with the fastest lap in 1:33.294 seconds.

The McLaren duo have been unable to win a race for three consecutive Grand Prixs, leaving room for Red Bull's Verstappen to build up pressure on the two F1 Championship title race leaders, Norris and Oscar Piastri. Nevertheless, the duo appeared to be back on good terms, making a good impression on the tracks during the practice session.

The tracks were confusing for debutant Isack, who swerved off track at Turn 5. Similar to Isack's situation was Esteban Ocon. The Haas' driver struggled with technical issues, losing his control on the track and running into the gravel at Turn 11.

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc had an impressive session in their Ferrari, though they had some issues with the setup. Overall, it was not much of a hassle for the duo. Likewise, the three-time F1 champion, Verstappen. The Dutch driver was impressive and did not lose control on the track, but finished fifth behind Fernando Alonso

The qualifying session will be an interesting session for both Norris and Verstappen. The former set the pole at last year's edition, but was unable to win the final as Leclerc won. Meanwhile, Verstappen will be contending for his third Sprint qualifying session pole in Austin, a position he clinched in 2023, and 2024.
