Alpine's Boss Throws Weight Behind Lewis Hamilton For F1 Comeback Next Season

Unlikely as it may seem, Alpine boss Flavio Briatore is trusting a Lewis Hamilton dominance of the F1 tracks by next season.

Hamilton is having a difficult season with Ferrari, a team he had always dreamed of being with while he was racing for Mercedes. He is yet to win a Grand Prix in his debut for the team he joined on a two-year contract. It is unlikely but not impossible to have picked him as the driver to watch out for next season.

"Sooner or later, he'll solve the problem." Flavio anticipated. "He's a very good person, but F1 is complicated."

Since Sebastian Vettel won his last F1 Championship title, no other driver has won the title. Hamilton struggles with the team, stemming from the fact that Ferrari's design of his car is not as suitable for him as he had in his prime with Mercedes. More so, Charles Lecrlc had been the lead driver before he joined the team,

"This year, the only truly competitive team is McLaren. "Next year...We'll (Alpine) be fighting for the podium too. You'll see, with the new cars, Hamilton will be back in the fight for victory. He's always great."

While Flavio is optimistic about Ferrari, neither Hamilton nor Leclerc has won a Grand Prix this year. Meanwhile, Leclerc has made five podium appearances with his first of the year at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix
