Zinedine Zidane Is Set To Return To Football Management
After a four-year hiatus from football management, Zinedine Zidane is making his way back to the career and is already in talks with a top European club for a job.
Zidane left football management in 2021 after a successful spell as Real Madrid manager. He had managed highly sought-after players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Di Maria, and Luka Modric. However, he is gradually making his way back, and obviously, it is not to Bernabeu.
Fenerbahce are in advanced negotiations with the Frenchman on joining the side. It is understood that the club has reached a preliminary agreement with him, and the former Real Madrid manager is due to travel to the club to finalise the contract.
Last month, the Turkish side fired their former manager, Jose Mourinho, for failing to lead the side to qualify for this season's UEFA Champions League. The team failed to qualify for the continental competition after losing to Benfica in the playoffs on an aggregate score of 1-0.
However, Zidane had been open about his return to football management, and his preference had been to coach a national team. Until now, there have been rumours that he would prefer to lead the French national team or return to Real Madrid, where he won three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles as a manager.
