Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton Top Italian GP Practice Session Timesheets

Formula One drivers returned to the grid in Monza, and McLaren's Lando Norris had the best of the second practice, while Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton topped the time sheet in the first practice, setting the fastest lap in 1:20.117s.

It was a chaotic session for Alpine's Paul Aron, spinning over the curb on the exit of a corner, but he suffered no major issues. Isack Hadjar ran into the gravel, and a red flag was deployed. McLaren had a slow start as Norris finished the first session in sixth position. Meanwhile, the Ferrari duo led the FP1 with Hamilton atop, and Leclerc trailed for a one-two finish of the session.

In the second practice session, Mercedes had a difficult time as Kimi Antonelli ran into the gravel at Turn 7, and his teammate, George Russell, suffered engine power loss. Antonelli retired from the session while Russell finished in 10th. However, McLaren came out stronger in this session with Norris finishing in P1 and Leclerc followed in second.

F1 Championship leader, Oscar Piastri, missed the first practice, allowing Alex Dunne to replace him as part of FIA requirements for racing teams. However, he joined the team in FP2 and finished fourth behind Carlos Sainz.
