Pep Guardiola Gives Update On Savinho Amidst Transfer Talks

Apparently, Savinho will not be leaving Manchester City in this transfer window amidst his link to Tottenham Hotspur as Pep Guardiola has addressed his Brazilian's future with the club.

Savinho was linked to the North London-based club, with speculation that City is linked to Real Madrid forward Rodrigo, while it loaned Jack Grealish to Everton. It was believed that the Citizens were considering £50 million in fees in deal talks with the Spurs.

"Whether it's Tottenham in that case or any other club, a player should call the club. I am only concerned right now that Savinho will be with us for the rest of the season and hopefully many years," said Guardiola on the winger's future.

By the way, it is understood that Savinho had requested to exit the club from Guardiola. However, as it is, a deal is still undone between City and Tottenham. More so, Guardiola played him as a substitute in their friendly match against Palermo on Saturday.

"At the end, as always, the desire of the players is above ever6but then they have to find an agreement with the club. If they don't take an agreement, the player will be here because the club spends money on those players."

Unlike Savinho, Grealish completed his loan transfer to Everton with an option to buy out. However, City have completed six new signings this summer, including an attacking midfielder, Rayan Cherki, 22, to make up for Kevin de Bruyne's exit.
