Manchester United Targeting RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko Amidst Newcastle Interest

Manchester United have entered into a deal talk with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko, amidst interest from Newcastle United, who are also bidding for the player.

United have already completed three important signings, including Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo. Having to pursue a transfer for a midfielder, Sesko, might further strengthen its attacking frontline. The need for the Slovenian might have been on the backdrop of Alejandro Garnacho's link to Chelsea for a transfer in this transfer window.

However, a deal has not been reached as negotiations are on-going but the player reportedly fancies a move to United and has agreed on personal terms with the club. As a consequence, the player is snubbing Newcastle, despite offering £70 million bid. The Magpies have relinquished interest on him and are considering other suitors such as Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa.

Besides the player's interest in United, the Red Devils are reportedly offering much more than Newcastle. Meanwhile, Leipzig are in talks with United over its offer, with £73 million bid plus £10 million in add-ons being considered.
