Wimbledon: Jannik Sinner Sets Up Semi-finals Showdown Against Novak Djokovic

Jannik Sinner has set up a semi-final showdown against Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon after both players defeated their opponents in the quarter-final. However, the latter rallied to undo an early scare from Flavio Cobolli to win in four sets by 6-7(6), 6-2, 7-5, 6-4.
Cobolli rallied in the first set, winning his first break-point at 5-3, leading to a tiebreak to win his first set against Djokovic on the Centre Court. The second set was different for him as Djokovic became dominant, winning a double break to take a 5-2 lead before winning the set point on his service.
"For me, this is what actually counts the most," said Djokovic, delighted with his victory. "Being in the last stages of Grand Slams and playing against the best player in the world right now. And Jannik and Carlos Alcaraz are the leaders of men's tennis today."
The Italian player converted his second break-point advantage in the third set at 2-1 but conceded the set to the Serb, who maintained dominance, breaking at 4-4 to win the fourth set to claim a 3-1 set victory.
In a separate match, Jannik defeated Ben Shelton in straight sets by 7-6(20, 6-4. 6-4 and will be making his second semi-final appearance at Wimbledon. The world number one has never reached the final of the championship in his career. He was eliminated from the edition in the quarter-final by Daniil Medvedev.
