Napoli, Galatasaray On Edge Of Finalising Victor Osimhen's Transfer
Victor Osimhen's transfer on a permanent contract can be considered as a done deal, as Napoli and Galatasaray are reportedly at an advanced stage of finalising the deal.
Napoli loaned the striker to the Turkish side in a season-long deal with an option to sign him permanently. As his hosts are committed to triggering the clause in his contract, Napoli are also keen to get a contract done for the player. As an Italian sports analyst, Fabrizio Romano revealed that both clubs have reached the "signing stage" in the transfer arrangements.
Last week, it was finally imminent that Galatasaray would keep the player permanently as a deal worth €75 million was reached with Napoli. The signing fee has been a deterrent for clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United that were linked to the striker. He was also previously linked to the Saudi Arabia Pro League, Al Hilal, which was offering much more than the asking fee but the striker opted to stay in Europe.
Galatasaray reportedly agreed to a payment arrangement in two instalments, an initial payment of €40 million to be made in 2025 and the second installment of €35 million to be paid in 2026. Also included in the deal is an add-on of €5 million as bonuses.
In 2023, Osimhen led Napoli to win their first-ever Serie A League trophy in 33 years, leading the club to the Champions League. Throughout his spell at the club that spanned five seasons, including his loan spell, he contributed a total of 76 goals for Napoli.
