Bayern Munich Complete Luis Diaz's Transfer

It is final and Bayern Munich have officially signed Luis Diaz to a four-year contract worth £65.5 million. Liverpool are now left with filling the gaps left behind by the Colombian forward by finding his replacement.

Diaz was among the players who wanted out of Anfield in this transfer window. Eventually, he secured a move after Bayern made multiple attempts. He was signed from FC Porto to replace Sadio Mane in 2022.

"It means a lot to me to be part of FC Bayern," said Diaz as cited by Italian sports analyst Fabrizio Romano. "I want to help my new team with my style of football and my personality, as my goal is to win every possible title."

Diaz spent three and a half seasons at Anfield, and in that period, he won the Premier League title with the Reds last season. He was a versatile player and contributed 29 goals to the side in all 103 Premier League appearances.

The Colombian forward leaves Anfield before his teammate, Darwin Nunez, who has been strongly linked to Juventus. The Italian giants are reportedly in talks with the Reds over the player's transfer, whose asking price is set at £56.4 million.
