Victor Osimhen Is Set To Leave Napoli After Galatasaray Loan Spell

Victor Osimhen is set to leave Napoli to join the Saudi Pro League side, Al Hilal, after an agreement was reached to trigger his release clause from the Italian club.

Napoli had been reluctant to let go of the striker and tied him to a release clause worth €75 million. In a bid to keep him, he was loaned to Galatasaray, where he spent the entire last season, and won the league trophy with the side. Meanwhile, he has been on Al Hilal's watch for the past two seasons, which Napoli was unwilling to give in to.

However, Napoli are understood to have agreed to release him to a four-year deal worth €35 million. The arrangement between the clubs is reportedly to have reached an advanced stage, and the player has given his consent to the contract.

Al Hilal are not alone in its interest in Osimhen. Top-flight clubs from the Premier League, such as Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool, have been linked to the striker. Apparently, these clubs are no longer willing to remain in the race for the player against the Riyadh club.

Manchester United are understood to have opted out due to the transfer fee and the need to make up with Ruben Amorim's frontline squad. Instead, they are understood to be committed to signing Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo. The discussion with Brentford for the player is expected to be completed this summer.
