Lilo & Stitch Keeps Front Row Af Box Office

Lilo & Stitch remains the film to beat at the box office for three straight weekends. It does not just dominate the domestic market, it is edging closer to passing the $800 million globally. As for other frontrunners like Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, it has conceded its place to a newly released film. However, The Final Reckoning yet scored big at the box office with $450 mission in global gross.

As Lilo & Stitch gets closer to reaching the billion-dollar milestone with $772 million global gross, it is worth stating that, it is the third biggest film of the year and Disney's sixth biggest remake. However, it took a 47.4% drop in ticket sales at the box office, and yet, topped the chart with $35.5 million for the third weekend in a row.

Final Reckoning dropped to third over the weekend behind From the World of John Wick: Ballebrina, which earned $25 million on its opening weekend. Unlike the previous week, Final Reckoning took a 45% drop in sales to gross $14.8 million domestically. As stated earlier, the film is yet one of Tom Cruise's biggest performance with the franchise.

Besides older films, newly released films like The Phoenician Scheme, Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye, and Karate Kid: Legends struggled to pull off big earnings from the market and they trailed their predecessors. Karate Kid did better than its peers but took a 57.8% drop in sale to gross $8.5 million in second weekend.

Sinners' top-charting performance on weekend box office has cooled off. However, it remains a top performer this year with $325 million in gross globally. The film turned out to be Ryan Cooglar's most successful horror film. However, it was ninth at the domestic weekend box office with $2.8 million and Thunderbolts in tenth with $2.4 million in gross.
